Luke Cattle

As the Acting Chief Financial Officer (CFO), Mr Luke Cattle is responsible for the Australian Research Council’s (ARC's) financial services.

Mr Cattle leads the ARC Finance Section which is responsible for ensuring the ARC’s compliance with the Commonwealth Resource Management Framework. This includes preparation of annual financial statements ensuring the application of relevant Australian accounting standards, Commonwealth accounting policy and financial reporting requirements, budgeting, purchasing, tendering, financial compliance and management of financial delegations.

Mr Cattle’s career in Finance commenced in 2000 when he joined the Australian Public Service. Since then he has held various Finance roles across a handful of Commonwealth entities and at the beginning of 2016 he joined the ARC as the Deputy CFO.

Mr Cattle holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting.
