Strategic Plan

Under the Australian Research Council Act 2001, the ARC must prepare a strategic plan each year for the approval of the Minister for Innovation, Industry, Science and Research.

The ARC Strategic Plan 2006-2008 was released in June 2006. It identifies the actions the ARC will undertake over the coming three years in pursuit of the seven key objectives set out in the plan: discovery, linkage, research training and careers, research infrastructure, research priorities, public engagement and effective organisation. It also identifies the key performance indicators that the ARC will use to measure and demonstrate to the Government its progress in delivering results that benefit the Australian community.
