Funding Agreements

A Funding Agreement is an agreement between the ARC and the administering organisation. Applicants, Investigators and Partners are advised to become familiar with the Funding Agreement to which their funded project would be subject if their proposals were successful. Funding Agreements have been referred to as Funding Contracts, Conditions of Grant and Conditions of Award in some ARC programs.

If investigators have queries about the conditions relating to funded projects they should contact their University’s Research Office or Administration Unit.

The Funding Agreement outlines the responsibilities of all parties (the administering Institution, the ARC and the Chief Investigators) including: Payment of Funding, Use of Funding, Specified Personnel, Transfers, Audit and Monitoring, Reporting Requirements and Termination of the grant. If at a later date, circumstances have changed and a variation to the Funding Contract/Agreement is required, the Chief Investigators should seek advice from the Research Office or Administration Unit. The ARC must approve any variations to the Funding Contract/Agreement.

Funding Agreements should be read in conjunction with Funding Rules, or Guidelines.
