Final Report

Information collected in the Final Report for an ARC-funded project is used to determine whether the project has reached satisfactory completion.

Statistical information collected in Final Reports enables the ARC to account for public funding of research and to promote the value of research to the Australian community.

Discovery and Linkage

Final Reports for Discovery Projects, Discovery Indigenous, Federation Fellowships, Linkage Projects and Linkage Infrastructure, Equipment and Facilities can be completed and submitted in RMS.  

Research Offices will be advised when Final Report forms for other schemes become available in RMS.

Final Report forms are available for projects which ARC funding has now been fully expended. Please note that forms may appear in RMS for some projects which have approved carry-overs of funding, however the completion date for the project is determined by the completion of the project and not the availability of the form.

A project’s lead investigator (first named participant) is responsible for completing the Final Report and submitting it to her or his Research Office. Please note, that only the named Project personnel and the Research Office have edit access to the Final Report form in RMS.  Research Offices are then responsible for submitting the Final Reports to the ARC. This submission by the Research Office constitutes the Administering Organisation’s certification of the Final Report. Final Reports that are not submitted via RMS will not be accepted by the ARC.

Final Reports from all Centres are required within six months of completion of projects.

Proformas are to be completed and emailed to Signed copies of Final Reports should be posted to the ARC at the address below:
