Final Report

Information in the Final Reports for ARC funded projects is used to determine whether the project has reached satisfactory completion.

Statistical information collected in Final reports also enables the ARC to account for public funding of research and to promote the value of research to the Australian community.

Discovery and Linkage

Final Reports for Discovery (FF, DP, D-IRD) and Linkage programs (LP, LX, LAPDC, LIEF) and earlier programs (LRG, RF, IRD, SPIRT, IREX, RIEF) are completed and submitted through GAMS. Please refer to the Final Reports Instructions for further information.

Final Report forms for all programs have been prepared for projects on which ARC funding has been completed. Please note that forms have been prepared for some projects which have approved carry-overs of funding, but the completion date for the project is not affected by the availability of the form.

First-named Participants (Chief Investigators or Fellows) have responsibility for completing the form which will be available to them when they enter GAMS as an “APPLICANT”. Other Participants, including Industry Partners, can view and contribute to the form. As much as possible, data fields are pre-filled from ARC databases. Only the first-named Participant can VALIDATE the form.

The Research Office GAMS Contact should SUBMIT the form. The submission is the University’s sign-off on the grant and the Final Report. No paper copy is required.

Centres

Final Reports from all Centres are required within six months of the completion of the project.

Centres Final Reports are not submitted in GAMS. The proforma is to be completed and emailed to centres@arc.gov.au. A signed copy of the Final Reports should be posted to the ARC at the address below:

Research Networks

Final Reports may be submitted within six months of project completion.

The Final Report will be completed by the Network Convenor and submitted by the Research Office of the Administering Organisation in electronic format using the Research Networks pro forma included below. Final Reports for Research Networks are not available through GAMS or RMS. 

The completed Research Network Final Report should be emailed by an authorised officer of the Research Office of the Administering Organisation to final.reports@arc.gov.au. No paper copy is required.
