On 28 March 2014 ARC welcomed Ms Irene Sole Gil, RTDI Consultant - International Programmes, CDTI based within the Trade Commission of Spain in Sydney, and Mr Pablo Ruibal, Market Analyst, Trade Commission of Spain, Sydney, to the ARC offices.

The CDTI is a Spanish public organisation, under the Spanish Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness, whose objective is to help Spanish companies to increase their technological profile. It is a state-owned company and it has financed more than 15,000 technology development projects so far.

ARC and the delegates discussed trends within the Science, Technology and Innovation system in Australia and the Research and Development (R&D) funding schemes. The delegates shared experiences of scientific and technological collaborations between Spain and other countries, and the CDTI Bilateral Programmes scheme.
