ARC Centres of Excellence Funded Projects 2005
The 2005 funding round for ARC Centres of Excellence has concluded. Applications closed on 29 October 2004. The Minister approved financial assistance of $24.4 million in 2005 to establish 11 ARC Centres of Excellence. Overall ARC funding assistance for ARC Centres of Excellence from 2005 to 2009 is expected to total $122 million.
In 2008, consistent with the funding rules for the 2005 cohort of Centres of Excellence, a comprehensive review of the 11 Centres was conducted with a view to providing an extension of funding through to the end of 2013. A rigorous review of each Centre was conducted and extensions of funding additional to the original 2005 funding were approved to a total of $82.25 million over three and a half years from July 2010.
