On 4 March 2014, the ARC was pleased to be visited by Ms Do Quynh Hoa, Chief of Office, The Registration Office of Science and Technology and four other delegates from the Ministry.

The Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST) is a governmental agency which performs functions of State management on Science and Technology, including Science and Technology activities; development of Science and Technology potentials; intellectual property; standards, metrology and quality control; atomic energy, radiation and nuclear safety; and State management on public services in fields under the Ministry's management as stipulated by law.

Currently the ARC has noted 20 instances of collaboration with Vietnam on new and ongoing research projects with funding allocation in 2014 under five different funding schemes.

As MOST is currently undertaking scoping activity with a view to building an electronic grants management system the delegation discussed ARCs system requirements, and the building and operation of RMS (Research Management System).There was also discussion of the Australian research system, and how information is used between universities, RMS and ERA as relevant considerations to designing the future MOST system.
