The Research Management System (RMS) is a web-based system provided by the Australian Research Council (ARC).  The Department of Education, Skills and Employment (DESE) uses this system to track and pay grantees from the National Collaborative Research Infrastructure Strategy (NCRIS) project grants.  

Accessing RMS

Registered DESE/NCRIS users can login using your email address and password at https://dese.researchgrants.gov.au.

To request a new account, go to https://dese.researchgrants.gov.au and click on the Request New Account link.

RMS minimum requirements

RMS will be compatible with the latest versions of Google Chrome and Microsoft Internet Explorer. Compatibility with different browsers or older versions of Google Chrome and Microsoft Internet Explorer is not guaranteed.

Password security

To comply with the security requirements of all Australian government systems, and protect the information that is held in RMS, the ARC must enforce strict password controls in RMS, including the requirement to reset passwords every 90 days.
