At the conclusion of each ERA round, the ARC has published a national report. The national reports provide the ERA ratings and a wealth of information and analyses on Australia’s university research landscape.

The State of Australian University Research 2018–19: ERA National Report presents the outcomes of the most recent round, ERA 2018.

ARC Data Portal

The ERA 2018 National Report and additional ERA data is available via the ARC Data Portal. The information available in the portal is provided in a dynamic and interactive format which provides users with flexibility to analyse the information for their own purposes. For example, users can choose to filter ratings by university and discipline, or search the research output metadata in a number of ways.
The ARC Data Portal contains:

  • the ERA 2018 National Report
  • Research Outputs—metadata for the research outputs submitted by universities for ERA 2018
  • Outcomes—the ERA ratings for Fields of Research at each institution for each round of ERA (ERA 2018, ERA 2015, ERA 2012, ERA 2010).

Previous ERA Reports

With four rounds now complete, ERA provides a unique dataset covering extensive researcher staffing data, all Australian university research outputs from 2003 to 2016, and research income and research application data from 2006 to 2016.

The national reports from each round provide the ERA ratings and a related wealth of information and analyses. Reports from previous ERA rounds are available at Archived Material.
