Each year, the Australian Research Council (ARC) calls for nominations from senior research academics to join the esteemed ARC College of Experts.

ARC College of Experts members play a key role in the ARC’s peer review processes to ensure that government funding is spent on the highest quality research that will grow knowledge and innovation for the benefit of the Australian community.

The ARC is currently looking for experts of international standing with extensive peer review experience. Nominees from all disciplines are welcome, with multi-disciplinary and cross-disciplinary expertise considered advantageous due to the extensive field of applications that the ARC reviews annually.

ARC College of Experts member appointments are highly competitive, with members drawn from higher education, industry and public sector research organisations. Strong institutional support to meet the commitment required from College of Expert members is highly regarded.

The ARC is also committed to improving the diversity and gender balance of the ARC College of Experts. The ARC particularly encourages applications from women, Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islanders and end-users across the private, public and not-for-profit sectors.

If you are a senior researcher who enjoys peer reviewing and is looking for a unique opportunity to contribute to the research community, please refer to the ARC College of Experts webpage for further information about how to nominate before 5 July 2019.
