The ARC has started work on transitioning its Funding Rules into a new Grant Guidelines template.

The change to a new format is in line with whole-of-government grant reforms aimed at providing clarity for applicants for all Australian Government grants by using standardised terminology, text and format, where possible.

We used this format with the Grant Guidelines for the Per- And Poly-Fluoroalkyl Substances (PFAS) Remediation Research Program released in December 2017, but the challenge for us now is to roll that template out across all of our funding schemes.

While the look will be different, the Grant Guidelines for our Discovery and Linkage Programs will continue to be legislative instruments in line with the Australian Research Council Act 2001 and will be published on both the ARC and GrantConnect websites.
