Update on the implementation of 2020 ANZSRC Codes
Update on the implementation of 2020 ANZSRC Codes

Since then, the ARC has reached out to many ARC-funded researchers and ARC assessors to update their 2020 ANZSRC codes in RMS including:
- conversion of existing 2008 FoR codes to the new 2020 FoR codes; and/or
- manually entering the new 2020 FoR codes.
So far, we have received huge support from researchers and assessors, as well as from various Research Offices to assist with the transition.
Once this is completed, the transition will help to align ARC-funded projects to the research currently being undertaken in Australia and New Zealand, as well as reduce the volume of research categorised as ‘not elsewhere classified’. We are in the final stage of the transition process and the ARC is encouraging everyone to update their RMS profiles to finalise this process.
