Two new supplementary guides supporting implementation of the Australian Code for the Responsible Conduct of Research (the Code) are now available.

The guides, co-authored by the Australian Research Council (ARC), the National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC) and Universities Australia (UA), contain guidance for institutions and researchers on how they can implement the Code as it relates to the subjects of authorship (the Authorship Guide) and data (the Management of Data and Information in Research Guide).

Further guides will be released over coming months on the subjects of peer review, disclosure and management of interests, research supervision, collaborative research, publication and dissemination of research, and the role of research integrity advisors. Until these guides are made available, institutions and researchers should continue to defer to relevant sections of the 2007 Code.

More information about the new guides is located on the ARC’s website.

The guides can be downloaded from the NHMRC’s website.
