FL250100172 – Transforming cities for Indigenous Peoples' social and emotional wellbeing
Professor Ward aims to establish Australia’s first Urban First Nations Research Agenda, focused on improving the social and emotional wellbeing of Indigenous Peoples in cities. The project will be delivered through four work packages: truth-telling and identity, economic participation, environmental sustainability using Indigenous knowledges, and data infrastructure. It will support the development of an Australian First Nations Urban Research Centre and train a new generation of First Nations researchers. The research will address gaps in policy and practice and provide a foundation for more inclusive and culturally grounded urban development.
