FL250100198 – Re-imagining concrete as a carbon sink
Professor Duan aims to transform concrete into a material that actively captures and stores carbon dioxide, helping mitigate climate change. This project will investigate the interaction between CO₂ and concrete to develop climate-friendly production models and data-driven research pipelines. The outcomes will reduce the carbon footprint of the construction industry and support eco-friendly urban development. The research will also build a multidisciplinary workforce and promote sustainable materials for infrastructure.
