ARC Centres of Excellence are focal points of expertise through which high-quality researchers maintain and develop Australia’s international standing in research areas of national priority.
Through the ARC Centres of Excellence, significant collaborations occur between universities, publicly funded research organisations, other research bodies, governments, and businesses in Australia and overseas, all to support outstanding research.
The objectives for the ARC Centres of Excellence are to:
Applications for funding of ARC Centres of Excellence are invited periodically. Grants are made to organisations, not individual researchers or research teams. Applicants should familiarise themselves with the relevant Grant Guidelines and Grant Agreements.
The ARC Centres of Excellence Program (CE) supports high quality groups of researchers working in areas of national and international importance for Australia. Centres of Excellence partner with strategic industry and research organisations from Australia and around the World.
University Research Offices manage applications for any ARC scheme. Interested researchers should contact the relevant Research Office who will assist in preparing and submitting an application through the ARC’s Research Management System.
