Industrial Transformation Research Hubs

Industrial Transformation Research Hubs fund Eligible Organisations to undertake cutting-edge research on new technologies and economic, commercial and social transformation to benefit industry partners in the Industrial Transformation Priority areas.

The Industrial Transformation Priorities are priority research areas identified by the ARC that are updated from round to round. The current Industrial Transformation Priorities are:

  • Advanced Manufacturing
  • Cyber Security
  • Defence
  • Food, Beverage and Agribusiness
  • Medical Technologies and Pharmaceuticals
  • Mining Equipment, Resource Technology and Services, Critical Minerals Processing
  • Oil, Gas and Energy Resources
  • Recycling and Clean Energy
  • Space

Applications must include strong collaboration with industry and partners must commit cash or in-kind resources to the project. Proposals must include at least one Australian Partner Organisation. Each Partner Organisation must contribute in cash or in kind and the total contributions must at least match the total funding requested from the ARC.

Applicants should read the relevant Grant Guidelines and Grant Agreements. Grants from the ARC are made to organisations, not individual researchers or research teams. The Grant Guidelines contain the list of Eligible Organisations.
