The Australian Research Council’s (ARC) Chief Executive Officer, Ms Judi Zielke PSM, today released the ARC Strategy 2022-2025, laying out the vision for the agency to 2030 and providing the key strategic priorities over three years to enable that vision.
Ms Zielke said that under the strategy, the ARC will deliver a refreshed approach to helping shape the Australian research system and deliver better outcomes for the research sector, government, and the Australian community.
“Despite a strong track record over our 21 years, we recognise the need to respond to the evolution of the research sector and the changing community expectations of the ARC,” Ms Zielke said.
“This strategy is an exciting opportunity to build our organisation and reset our relationships, guided by our vision of supporting world-class research and innovation for the advancement of Australia.”
The strategy outlines the ARC’s ambition for 2030 and three strategic priorities:
“The ARC Advisory Committee has been closely involved in the development of the strategy, and I would like to thank the members for their advice and engagement,” Ms Zielke said.
The ARC will soon begin a series of meetings with all universities, industry representatives and peak bodies to share the strategy.
“I look forward to engaging with our stakeholders to seek their views on the implementation plan for the strategy and discuss what success looks like from their perspective,” Ms Zielke said.
