Applicant Feedback

One of the ARC’s priorities, as outlined in the ARC Strategy 2022-2025, is to strengthen our engagement with the research sector and listen to your needs.

The ARC recognises that unsuccessful applicants benefit from feedback to identify areas of improvement for future applications. The ARC has worked with university research offices to support the implementation of this initiative.

To coincide with all future funding announcements, the ARC will provide unsuccessful eligible applicants with extra details about their results.

Commencing with funding announcement from June 2023, unsuccessful applicants will be able to access their scores within the Research Management System, along with detailed assessments.

Specifically, unsuccessful applicants will receive the following information:

  • Banded feedback
  • Detailed Assessors’ scores, assessments and rankings, and
  • General Assessors’ scores and rankings

In keeping with peer review principles, assessors will remain anonymous.

We know the sector is interested in the release of scores and assessments to successful applicants, and the ARC is investigating how this can be delivered.
