Forecast Opportunity for the Discovery Program Fellowships schemes 2026 and 2027

The Forecast Opportunity for Discovery Program Fellowships schemes for funding commencing in 2026 and 2027 is now available on GrantConnect:

Minor changes have been made to the Guidelines. Please ensure you refer to the updated Guidelines when preparing an application.

Please note ARC Grant Guidelines are legislative instruments that will be tabled in Parliament and may be subject to disallowance. 

Future Fellowships 2026 (FT26) and Discovery Early Career Researcher Award 2027 (DE27) will operate under the Discovery Program Grant Guidelines – Fellowships (2024 edition – Variation 1).

Applications for FT26 and DE27 will open in the Research Management System as follows:

• Future Fellowships 2026 (FT26): 24 September to 5 November 2025
• Discovery Early Career Researcher Award (DE27): 28 January to 11 March 2026
