Date: 2 May 2023 In line with the ARC Strategy 2022-2025, the ARC has partnered with the Department of Education, to reduce administrative burden for universities. New functionality built into the ARC’s Research Management System called RMS-HERDC, combines R&D income collections into one streamlined compendium. Universities will no longer have to submit paper-based approvals as this will now be facilitated through a systematic, permissions-based system. The ARC and the department have worked together to consolidate the Higher Education Research Data Collection (HERDC) for data submission to the RMS-HERDC platform. The ARC has built functionality into the existing RMS platform to allow both the ARC and the department to meet their respective requirements.
