Ms Judy Satrapa

Ms Judy Satrapa is the acting Branch Manager Executive, Strategy and Communications with over 25 years in the Australian Public Service. Prior to joining the ARC in 2017, Judy held executive roles in the National Disability Insurance Agency and the Department of Social Services where she was engaged in matters including disability reform, child care, Indigenous housing and infrastructure, mental health, and child aware approaches to service delivery.

 

Mr Craig Maconachie

Craig Maconachie was appointed Acting Chief Operating Officer in December 2024 and was previously Chief Financial Officer at the ARC. 

Craig has over 20 years’ experience in the public sector working in several commonwealth departments and agencies within corporate enabling services roles, including 10 years’ experience as Chief Financial Officer. 

Craig holds a Bachelor of Commerce from James Cook University and is a member of the Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand.

Ms Geraldine Atkinson

Geraldine Atkinson is a proud Bangerang/Wiradjuri woman and is Co-Chair of the National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Education Council (NATSIEC).  Geraldine held the position of Co-Chair of the First Peoples’ Assembly of Victoria until July 2023 and was elected to the Assembly in November 2019 as a candidate from the Northeast Region.  

Dr Skye Akbar

Skye is a Waljen woman, Mum, Sister and Aunty. As an Enterprise Fellow at UniSA Business, Skye applies her experience with focus on supporting the wellbeing of local peoples through improved understanding of how self-determined sustainable community economic development can be best achieved. She works to support evidence-based decision making that can nurture context and culturally informed local solutions to local problems.

Professor Michelle Trudgett

Professor Michelle Trudgett is an Indigenous scholar from the Wiradjuri Nation in New South Wales. 

Michelle currently holds the position Deputy Vice-Chancellor Indigenous Leadership at Western Sydney University. She has also held senior positions at the University of Technology Sydney and Macquarie University. 

Michelle is currently the Chair of the Universities Australia Deputy/Pro Vice-Chancellor Indigenous Committee. She also serves as a Board Member on the GO Foundation. 

Associate Professor Marnee Shay

Associate Professor Marnee Shay is a Principal Research Fellow in the School of Education at the University of Queensland. She is an Aboriginal woman whose maternal family is from the Ngen'giwumirri language group (Daly River, Northern Territory), born in Brisbane, with strong connections to Indigenous communities in South East Queensland. Dr Shay is an experienced and qualified secondary teacher. 

Dr Jacob Prehn

Jacob Prehn (PhD; MSW; BSocSc) is a Worimi Sociologist and Social Work academic raised and primarily living on Palawa Country, Nipaluna (Hobart). He currently serves as Director of Research, Evaluation, and Data Governance with the Treaty Authority (Victoria). Jacob is an executive member of the Australian Indigenous Data Sovereignty collective Maiam nayri Wingara, and a member of the Global Indigenous Data Alliance (GIDA).

Professor Adrian Miller

Professor Miller has strong leadership experience and a passion for achieving positive collaborative outcomes for Indigenous communities, including his own Jirrbal people in north Queensland. 

Professor Miller is an established Public Health scholar and is known nationally and internationally for his research and leadership in Indigenous and environmental health, infectious diseases and higher education research.
